The Value of Life

 

Life is short.  We always exclaim to the fact that time passes too quickly and things happened in the distant past seem so fresh and vivid as if they just took place yesterday.  And before long, we are as old as our parents or grandparents.  How have we lived our life?  Is it of any eternal value, since we have no choice but to leave this world empty handed?

God's Grace is Sufficient 

  

In my last pastoral letter, I shared about how the Lord moved the heart of a mother, for no known reason, to pray for her son.  The mother only got to know later that this prayer protected the son from a life danger.  Today’s pastoral letter is again about another answered prayer.

 

During the last Church Prayer Meeting, another sister shared about an answered prayer.  She had planned many months before to go overseas with her son to visit her in-laws during the Chinese Lunar New Year.  She thus went to the tour agency to book tickets.  To her dismay, the prices have gone up by several hundred dollars.  She could not afford the price.  She needed to pay about $1000 for the trip.  She was very upset and prayed.
