Pastoral Letters are weekly communications from our church pastor to the congregation.  They are mostly original reflections on the Word of God in response to church events or current affairs, local or beyond, with the primary intent to exhort Christians to live rightly before God in the real world.  Short bibliographies are sometimes featured towards the same end.

We pray that these writings will be a great blessing to you!

Being Sensitive to God’s Desires

Sometimes, God reminds us through Bible characters or people around us to do certain things to which we are unwilling to. For example: Forgiving those who have hurt us; taking the initiative to assist colleagues who often oppose us; giving up on a job with a bright future which will...

Be Faithful In Giving

We thank God that we have purchased our new church at Mega@Woodlands.  With the renovation in progress, God willing, we should be able to move into our new church in September 2019. Our church is a giving church.  It reminds me of when Moses started to build the tabernacle, and...

Be Talkative!

The recent durian bumper crop makes durian lovers very happy. Not only are durians affordable, more importantly, they taste very good. Some of us were so delighted that if we knew of someone who were looking for good durians, we would recommend certain stalls to them (despite not receiving a...

Testimony of Salvation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here” (2 Cor 5:17). If you humble yourself before the Lord Jesus Christ, acknowledge that you are a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive your sins, and receive Him as your Lord and...

Enlarge Your Gospel Tent

The main motivation for moving from the present premises in The Spire to Mega@Woodlands is to provide the church a better place to do gospel work. Mega@Woodlands is within walking distance from Admiralty MRT Station and is hence more accessible to new friends whom we invite. Eateries in the neighbourhood...

A Pilgrim through This Temporal World

One of the favourite hymns that we sing during prayer meeting is “This World Is Not My Home.” This song reminds us that we are just pilgrims passing through this temporal world. I flew to Guangzhou, China, and stayed in a beautiful hotel in the business district. What I brought...

The Joy that Comes from Faith in Jesus

The article below is extracted from https://www. desiringgod.org/messages/the-invincible-power-of-joy-for-world-missions/excerpts/all-god-promises-to-be-for-you: What does faith rejoice in? If you’re a believer right now, what is your joy? Saving faith begins with the word of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word (Rom 10:17). So, faith rejoices in the word of God....
