Before I believed in the Lord, due to old age, physical fatigue and ill health, I spend each day just eating, drinking and sleeping. I felt that life was meaningless.
I had ever been to church to hear sermons preached. But I did not receive the Lord Jesus. This year, 2012, on the 3rd of March, my daughter Sally invited Pastor Tan and two other sisters in the Lord to pray for and preach the gospel to me. They taught me that the great God who created the universe loves me, a sinner. On 12th of May, Pastor Tan, together with six other church friends came to visit me once again, to pray for and to preach to me to strengthen my faith, in order that I might understand the Heavenly Father’s love, the forgiveness given by the Lord Jesus, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the meaning of the Lord’s Supper, eternal life, heaven, peace and joy.
I have now believed in the Lord Jesus and am saved. I read the Bible every day because the Bible is God’s Word. I thank the Lord Jesus for giving to me heaven, eternal life, peace, joy and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit who leads me to be baptised.
The Bible in John 3:16-18 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
I hope that my wife, children and daughter-in-law will come to believe in the Lord, and together with me, to enjoy the Heavenly Father’s love and receive forgiveness from the Lord Jesus, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, heaven, eternal life, peace and joy.
